Employment Size

The B.C. Manufacturers Directory categorizes each firm listed according to the number of workers it employs. For industries which experience seasonal employment spikes or layoffs, we attempt to determine the average annual employment. By far the majority of firms are assigned a range of employment. Companies may also choose to list an exact number of employees. When a firm has provided this detail it will show on the information tab of the company’s listing.

Since 1993, we have included the approximate sales volume of each company that is willing to share this information. This is intended as a supplement to the employment size, and as an indicator of the size of order a manufacturer might be able to fill quickly.
